it feels like it’s been a while

well…. it’s been another crazy couple of weeks.  I had a rough gig 2 weeks ago, check for the gig log soon. I’m almost done with the music for it, maybe this weekend? I’m still not over it.  The bar was very particular about sound levels and honestly only thought it was too loud because they didn’t know the music.  I had a crap mix with just vocal and a touch of guitar.  It was a joke.

We purchased a new car. It was vandalized earlier this week so that was sweet.  I have an appointment for repairs next week.  We put a bid on a house last weekend, yeah - we didn’t get it.  We weren’t far off but the bank was taking the highest offer and it wasn’t ours.  We are continuing to look at houses and are compiling lists.  It wouldn’t surprise me if we purchase another house before ours sells.  Jean really wants a new house. 

Avenue added another member to the family this week.  Our bass player Chris had a baby boy!  Congrats to him and his family.  We officially have more kids than members of the band.  Practice has gone by the way side over the last month or so but I’m thinking things will start to settle in a few weeks and we might just get a chance to practice.  Speaking of practicing….  the stage prompter is nearly complete.  I haven’t had much time to work on it over the last couple of weeks but I swear that I will wrap it up soon!  Check the post below for more information. 

I hope this post finds everyone in good spirits as we move into what will be a certainly colder and drearier weekend than last.  Was that depressing?  It wouldn’t be a mattlangel.com post if it didn’t end on a high note.
