Life and Times
This sucks…. I kinda forgot that I had a website. I’ve been busy working on the house and schtuff that I’ve totally neglected to post anything. Well here’s a post. It’s been slow in the sound job world but it’s picking back up. I have 3 shows this month, I’ve been working in the studio trying to calm down the reflections and even hung a movie screen. I still have some electrical work to do and then just another 40 hours or so in sound panels to build. It’s coming along nicely I must say.
I got back into R/C cars and have been playing around with that a little. I started a new youtube channel that will be dedicated to R/C stuff. I don’t have any videos yet and probably won’t start posting until later this fall. For now I’m going to shoot a couple of videos on the studio progress and the August gig logs. I’ve hit 35,000 views on my Digital Fidelity channel and added 10 new subscribers last month.
so, updated.
i know, i know it’s been a minute…. i haven’t ported any of my youtube stuff in a while or posted anything in what feels like 6 months. <-I think it’s been more like 3. So mattlangel.com lives on, while my other web endevour has been put on hold. We bought a new house so that’s taking up most of my time, that and trying to stay awake. The new place needs alot of work but it’s going to be worth it. We’ll have all kinds of space for Maddie to play and for me to get to work on the music side of things - including the website. My youtube channel is picking up - adding a few new subscribers a week and i’m looking forward to expanding that. i’ve been thinking about a weekly show about music, much like Curt Loder on MTV news but with a higher voice. The new studio will suit the show well but i’ll have to wait until that’s all up running. Ad services will start running shortly. For now it’s constant work on the new house getting it ready for the family to move in - i’m hoping that will happen in the next 2 weeks, it would be really great to be by thanksgiving and if it doesn’t happen our housewarming party may also be a Christmas party.
Time for trick or treaters
I’m thinking about creating a new site dedicated completely to live sound, video, lighting and concert photography. Mlproaudio or something like that. It will be used for my personal gig logs but also open it up for submissions from other audiophiles as well as photographers and concert/product reviewers. my friend Pat is going to be helping with a new logo and I’ve got some layout ideas. It’s goings to be a bit of work but sound/production is a passion of mine and I’d like to share it in a more formal setting. I have friends in every aspect of music production and would like to get them involved with behind the scenes footage and tutorials. Keep an eye out. If you would like to be involved let me know.
